Rep. Adriano Espaillat has been a long-time champion of gun violence prevention.
New York has been a leader of gun violence prevention, and Rep. Espaillat has continued to support that essential work. In 2025, he introduced a bill to declare gun violence a public health crisis in order to fight against this epidemic the way we would any other.
Rep. Espaillat said:
It is high time for U.S. policymakers to call on our top public health officials in order to craft effective, consensus policies for preventing gun violence and gun deaths in the U.S.
Rep. Espaillat has also supported legislation to ban ghost guns, ban assault weapons, and strengthen background checks. He will never stop fighting to protect New York communities.
The Brady Campaign is proud to endorse Rep. Espaillat for re-election to represent New York’s 9th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
