Delegate Atoosa Reaser is a first-generation immigrant from Iran who is passionate about the protection of rights for marginalized communities.
She advocates for gun violence prevention legislation, such as banning ghost guns and assault weapons, and was a lead sponsor on a secure gun storage bill during her time in the Virginia House of Delegates.
As a Virginia State Delegate, Reaser:
- Co-authored legislation to bolster secure storage and notify parents about firearm safety practices
- Supported legislation to require universal Brady Background Checks
- Fought to create the Virginia Center for Firearm Violence Intervention and Prevention
