Ayaan Moledina is part of a new generation of gun violence prevention leaders.
Beginning his advocacy at age 15, he joined Team ENOUGH’s Executive Council, a youth-led initiative of Brady, with a focus on helping to expand resources for struggling youth to prevent firearm suicide. As a member of the lockdown generation, Moledina knows firsthand how the gun violence epidemic has impacted youth across the country and he wants to be part of the generation that changes that.
Born and raised in Round Rock, Moledina understands what his community needs, and ways to improve the education system. He is focused on expanding suicide prevention efforts, creating safe and welcoming schools, and ensuring students have more leadership opportunities.
Moledina said:
As someone who has gone through this district and who continues to remain heavily involved, I want nothing more than to better the lives of students from diverse backgrounds who struggle in similar ways to how I have.
