Our thoughts and prayers are not enough to prevent gun violence. Common-sense gun safety reform in our country is long overdue, and I will continue fighting to pass these measures into law to keep our communities safe.
In 2025, Rep. Pappas co-sponsored three essential pieces of legislation: the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, the Closing the Bump Stock Loophole Act, and Ethan’s Law. These three laws will help work to prevent gun violence before it happens, restrict use of uniquely lethal devices, and ensure firearms are securely stored. With firearm suicides making up the majority of firearm deaths in New Hampshire, safe storage laws are absolutely essential to protect communities in the state.
