With an F rating from the NRA, Rep. Dave Min has long been a champion for gun violence prevention in California.
When he was a member of the California State Senate, Rep. Min authored a number of comprehensive gun safety solutions, including innovative laws supported by Brady California, that bolster gun dealer oversight by requiring employee training, video cameras at the point of sale, and liability insurance. Rep. Min has also been an outspoken advocate for gun violence prevention in his community and believes that no one should have to live in fear of gun violence.
Rep. Min said:
An office park in Orange, a church in Laguna Woods, a bar in Trabuco County. There is no place in America that is safe from the scourge of gun violence. There is no community not affected. My heart breaks for the families and loved ones of the victims. We cannot rest until we end gun violence in this country.
Federally, Rep. Min has fought for legislation to ban assault weapons and large-capacity magazines, expand Brady Background Checks, and implement extreme risk protection orders. He also authored legislation that aims to close major data gaps at gun stores to help prevent criminal activity.
