Rep. Dina Titus has demonstrated a deep commitment to protecting Nevada communities from gun violence.
In the wake of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting in Las Vegas, NV, which is the nation’s deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, Rep. Titus introduced essential gun violence prevention legislation, like the Closing the Bump Stock Loophole Act of 2023 (H.R. 396). This life-saving legislation would ban bump stocks, which allowed the Route 91 gunman to make his assault rifle the functional equivalent of a machine gun and kill 60 people and injure hundreds more.

We should be able to celebrate, gather, learn, and live without fear. I will continue to fight for common-sense gun safety legislation.
Rep. Titus also co-sponsored the Keep Americans Safe Act (H.R. 1674), which proposes to ban the importation, sale, manufacture, or transfer of magazines that hold more than 15 rounds, and has been a proud member of the U.S. House of Representatives Gun Violence Prevention Task Force.
