Rep. Elaine Luria has been a champion of gun violence prevention while serving in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Rep. Luria sponsored the Equal Access to Justice for Victims of Gun Violence Act, which would repeal an unparalleled gun industry protection that has been interpreted to shield gun manufacturers and dealers from liability. She also co-sponsored the legislation to ban assault weapons, served as an active member of the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol, and fought to pass common-sense gun violence prevention laws.
