Eugene Vindman is no stranger to the effects that gun violence has had on Virginia’s communities.
After witnessing the aftermath of the Virginia Tech and Virginia Beach shootings, Vindman wanted to fight to ensure that Virginia communities never had to suffer through these tragedies again. Vindman knows that we need to pass common-sense, gun safety solutions now. In office, Vindman wants to pass universal background checks, close the gun show loophole, institute extreme risk protection laws, and require training, certification, licensing, and safe storage requirements nationally.

As a father, I am running for Congress to put an end to this epidemic that has taken far too many lives too soon.
Vindman has seen the effects that the gun violence epidemic has had on children and families. When a gun was found in his son’s high school, the entire school went on lockdown. While no one was hurt that day, Vindman never wants anyone to fear that terror that he and his family felt. And as a veteran, he knows that weapons of war have no place on our streets.
