Jocelyn Benson is running for governor to create a better place for all Michiganders.

As a civil rights advocate and the youngest woman dean of an accredited law school in American history, Benson knows how to win a tough fight. She is prepared to bring that spirit and determination to her role as Michigan’s governor, fighting for all communities in her state.

While serving as Secretary of State, Benson has already fought to keep guns away from the ballot box to prevent voter intimidation, and has stood up to political violence. As a mother, she knows how important it is to end the gun violence epidemic to build a better future for Michigan’s children. As governor, she plans to continue that work and make gun violence prevention a top priority.

Benson said:

I’ll continue to prioritize this work as governor, working with anyone willing to get things done to keep all Michiganders safe and secure.

The Brady Campaign is proud to endorse Benson for Michigan governor.
