Josh Riley understands that we need solutions to the epidemic of gun violence now.
After the horrific shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Riley helped to craft common-sense legislation to keep communities safe and prevent future mass tragedies. He believes that we have the ability to protect public safety while honoring law-abiding gun owners’ Second Amendment rights.
Riley said:
As counsel in the Senate, I worked to stop senseless gun violence, strengthen voting rights, and break up monopolies. I'll continue that work in Congress.
If elected, Riley has pledged to fight for legislation to expand Brady Background Checks to keep weapons out of the hands of prohibited purchasers, ban assault weapons and large-capacity magazines and protect survivors of domestic violence by prohibiting domestic abusers from owning and purchasing a firearm.
The Brady Campaign is proud to endorse Josh Riley to represent New York’s 19th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
