Kimberly Overman is making gun violence prevention a priority for Florida.

Overman knows that Florida communities want to live free from the fear of gun violence, and she is ready to fight to make that happen. Florida’s 12th Congressional District deserves a representative who is ready to work to prevent gun violence before it happens.

Overman said:

Public safety is one of government’s most basic responsibilities, and the question is not whether we can protect rights or protect lives. The question is whether leaders are willing to pursue practical, evidence-based policies that do both.

In Congress, Overman will support common-sense gun violence prevention legislation, including expanded Brady Background Checks, extreme risk laws, closing gun sale loopholes, secure storage requirements, a ban on assault weapons and large-capacity magazines, and more. She also is focused on fighting to protect victims of domestic violence, and wants to strengthen protections for survivors and improve laws against hate-based crimes.

The Brady Campaign is proud to endorse Overman to represent Florida’s 12th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
