Rep. Mike Levin’s main concern is to ensure the safety and well-being of his California constituents.
Rep. Levin has worked across the aisle to pass legislation to help end the gun violence epidemic. As a member of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, he helped introduce the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021, which was the first major congressional action on gun safety to pass in decades.
Rep. Levin said:
There is an epidemic of gun violence in this country, and both Democrats and Republicans must come together to enact commonsense reforms to save lives.
Rep. Levin has also co-sponsored legislation to ban ghost guns, helped secure funding for federal research into gun violence, and introduced legislation to expand secure storage requirements. California has long been a leader in gun violence prevention, and Rep. Levin will continue that legacy.
The Brady Campaign is proud to endorse Rep. Levin to represent California’s 49th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
