As U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District and a mom of four, Rep. Mikie Sherrill has fought to ensure her constituents have the right to live safely without the fear of gun violence.

- Co-sponsored numerous bills to expand and strengthen Brady Background Checks, ban deadly assault weapons, and expand resources for communities and survivors impacted by gun violence
- Introduced legislation to ensure the secure storage of firearms and inform communities about proper methods of firearm storage
- Requested community project funding for the state of New Jersey to bolster their state inspection program and ensure gun dealers follow the law
