Assemblywoman Mitchelle Drulis is fighting to protect New Jersey communities from gun violence.
As a mom, she knows that every child should be able to go to school free from the fear of gun violence. She began her career in New Jersey politics 25 years ago and has used that experience to continue to champion gun violence prevention efforts.
As a member of the New Jersey General Assembly, she has:
- Been the second prime sponsor of A4979, legislation that requires law enforcement officers to complete training regarding the identification of machine gun conversion devices
- Voted to preserve funding for Rutgers University’s Gun Violence Research Center, which has conducted and supported dozens of studies that help gun violence prevention advocates and policymakers better understand the contours of this public health crisis and its solutions.
- Served on the Committee of Public Safety and Preparedness
