Nicole Locklin is running to represent Florida’s 26th Congressional District. Locklin knows that all Floridians deserve to feel safe from gun violence, and she is prepared to fight to make that future a reality.

She supports community violence intervention measures, universal background checks, secure firearm storage laws, stronger protections for survivors of domestic violence, and more.

Locklin is running against Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, who has consistently sided with the NRA to limit gun violence prevention legislation, rather than working to protect his constituents. Even in the aftermath of the Parkland shooting, Rep. Diaz Balart refused to support critical gun violence prevention laws that could have prevented future tragedies, and that the majority of Floridians supported.

Locklin said:

Our government is supposed to work for the people, not for corporations or politicians who sell us out.

The Brady Campaign is proud to endorse Locklin for election to represent Florida’s 26th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
