Paige Cognetti knows how to fight to protect Pennsylvania communities.
While serving as the mayor of Scranton, PA, Cognetti partnered with local law enforcement to introduce the city’s first ever community violence intervention project. She also issued the official proclamation to honor the first Friday in June as National Gun Violence Awareness Day.

In Congress, Cognetti plans on taking on the gun lobby head on. She will advocate for a federal assault weapons ban to protect Pennsylvania's 8th Congressional District from such widespread, senseless gun violence.
