Growing up in California’s Central Valley, Randy Villegas is familiar with the needs of the communities he seeks to represent.
As the first person in his family to earn a PhD, Villegas has used his education and experience to support and empower others as a professor, mentor, and community organizer. Being an educator has also given him firsthand experience of the struggles young people face, including gun violence which is the number one killer of kids in our country. He’s now ready to go toe-to-toe with any big industry, like the gun industry, that threatens the safety of communities in the Central Valley.

Villegas is challenging Rep. David Valadao, a representative with high approval ratings from the NRA. Time and time again, Rep. Valadao has chosen gun lobby interests over the protection and safety of his constituents. Villegas will change that.
