Rep. JA Moore understands that reducing gun violence and protecting the Second Amendment are not mutually exclusive. Rep. Moore’s bipartisan approach to common-sense gun violence prevention policies is why he supports safe storage laws, advocates for extreme risk protection orders, and rejects permit-less carry rules. He also knows the personal impact of gun violence, as his sister was one of the Emanuel Nine who were murdered in the mass shooting at Mother Emanuel AME Church in 2015. This experience led Rep. Moore to co-sponsor H.3248, which extends the waiting period on background checks and would have prevented the Mother Emanuel shooting.
The Brady Campaign is proud to endorse Rep. JA Moore for re-election to the South Carolina House of Representatives.
