Rep. Rob Menendez has been and will continue to be a fierce advocate for common-sense gun reform.

Rep. Menendez joined the gun violence prevention task force in order to pass common-sense legislation that would protect New Jersey communities. In his time in Congress, he has co-sponsored more than 20 gun violence prevention bills, including the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, the Assault Weapons Ban, the Federal Extreme Risk Protection Order Act, and Ethan’s Law

Rep. Menendez said:

Gun violence is an epidemic that continues to plague our country. No one should experience violence in their communities – at grocery stores, houses of worship, community events – and especially not at schools. Our children deserve to feel safe at school, and parents should be able to send their kids to school without the fear of gun violence.

Going forward, Rep. Menendez has promised to continue to fight for critical prevention laws like closing gun sale loopholes, banning ghost guns, and more.

The Brady Campaign is proud to endorse Rep. Menendez for reelection to represent New Jersey’s 8th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
