Rep. Robert Garcia knows the time to pass common-sense gun reform is now.
As an openly gay and Latino man, he knows that easy access to firearms makes hate lethal. As a member of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, he has cosponsored bipartisan legislation to expand Brady Background Checks (H.R. 715), legislation to ban assault weapons (H.R. 698) and Ethan’s Law (H.R. 660) to mandate safe firearm storage nationwide, among others.
Rep. Garcia said:
Enough is Enough. We should be infuriated at the gun violence epidemic in our country. We have too many guns on our streets. Thoughts and prayers are not enough.
Rep. Garcia has also introduced the Ammunition Modernization and Monitoring Oversight (AMMO) Act (S. 3223), to restrict bulk sales of ammunition.
