In the fight to end gun violence, Rep. Rosa DeLauro is a clear and common-sense voice for change.

Rep. DeLauro has spent decades fighting to fund evidence-backed gun violence prevention tactics and community violence intervention. She also authored and introduced Ethan’s Law, a secure firearm storage law named in honor of Ethan Song —  a teenager who died because of an unsecured firearm.

Rep. DeLauro said:

Our children deserve to grow up in a community free from the fear of gun violence. For me, this is not a political issue—it is a public health crisis that demands urgent, commonsense action.

Rep. DeLauro knows that gun violence is a complicated issue that must be tackled from all sides, changing the laws, industry, and culture around firearms. As a member of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, she has supported dozens of life-saving bills that would help prevent gun violence before it happens. If reelected, she will continue her fight to protect her constituents, supporting things like a national assault weapons ban, a ban on ghost guns, and more.

The Brady Campaign is proud to endorse Rep. DeLauro in her campaign to represent Connecticut’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
