As a member of the New Jersey General Assembly, he:
- Sponsored common-sense legislation that raises the age requirement for a firearm purchaser ID from 18-21
- Advocated to bolster the state’s concealed carry permitting system, banning firearms from sensitive public places, like preschools, playgrounds, parks, and hospitals
- Supported legislation to implement firearm microstamping, a revolutionary technology that marks bullets to aid law enforcement in tracing guns recovered from crimes and solving homicide cases
