Rep Casten said:
Congress has an obligation to do everything we can to make our communities safer from gun violence [...] Devices that allow semi-automatic weapons to be easily converted into fully automatic weapons should not be readily accessible.
As such, Rep. Casten, along with Rep. Johnson (D-GA-04), Sen. Klobuchar (D-MN), and Sen. Peters (D-MI) introduced legislation that prevents the importation and trafficking of such gun modifiers. Rep. Casten also supports banning semi-automatic weapons with military style features and is a proud cosponsor of the Assault Weapons Ban of 2019.
