Since being elected in 2021, Rep. Shontel Brown has wasted no time making her voice heard on Capitol Hill.

She quickly joined the Congressional Gun Violence Prevention Task Force and got to work on regulations on ghost guns, support for extreme risk protection orders, and the prosecution of gun traffickers.

Rep. Brown said:

Everyone in our community is entitled to live safely from gun violence. It is about taking firearms off our streets and addressing crime and mental illness. Together, we must stop gun violence — and I will take on the NRA and work with our leaders to get it done.

In 2022, Rep. Brown also joined lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to pass the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the first meaningful federal gun safety law passed in 30 years. If reelected, Rep. Brown promises to continue this commitment to protecting Ohio communities. She is ready to hold the gun industry accountable and fight to make real progress that prevents gun violence before it happens.

The Brady Campaign is proud to endorse Rep. Shontel Brown for reelection to represent Ohio’s 11th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
