As former majority leader in the Nevada State Assembly, Teresa Benitez-Thompson has seen how gun violence has devastated her state.
In 2017, Las Vegas saw the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history, when 60 people were killed and over 800 others were injured at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival. Benitez-Thompson is ready to work to make sure that Nevada communities never experience a tragedy like this again.
Benitez-Thompson said:

If elected to Congress, Benitez-Thompson will support a ban on assault weapons and large-capacity magazines, like the ones used at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival, expanded Brady Background Checks, closing gun sale loopholes, and more. She knows that all Nevadans deserve to live free from the fear of gun violence, and she is ready to fight for that future.
