Brady Campaign Endorses Candace Valenzuela for the U.S. House of Representatives

Washington, D.C., September 8, 2020 - Today the Brady Campaign endorsed Candace Valenzuela in her campaign for election to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Brady Campaign President Kris Brown shared:

“Candace Valenzuela has shown that she is ready to act to prevent gun violence. As a mother and former school board trustee, Valenzuela understands that we must end this epidemic and keep our children safe. She knows that to accomplish this we must enact common-sense policies such as universal background checks and extreme risk protection laws, policies that are supported by an overwhelming majority of Texas voters. She embodies Brady’s motto of ‘take action, not sides.’ Brady is proud to endorse Candace Valenzuela in her campaign for election to the U.S. House of Representatives.”

Candace Valenzuela shared:

"It’s an honor to have the endorsement of the Brady Campaign. As a school board trustee, I worked across the aisle and led an effort to harden our local schools and protect our kids from the threat of gun violence. In Congress, I’ll work with the bipartisan champions at the Brady Campaign to defeat the special interest gun lobby and make our communities safe."

###

Brady has one powerful mission — to unite all Americans against gun violence. We work across Congress, the courts, and our communities with over 90 grassroots chapters, bringing together young and old, red and blue, and every shade of color to find common ground in common sense. In the spirit of our namesakes Jim and Sarah Brady, we have fought for over 45 years to take action, not sides, and we will not stop until this epidemic ends. It’s in our hands.
