Washington D.C., July 6, 2020 - Today, the Brady Campaign endorses Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) in his campaign for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2020.
Brady Campaign President Kris Brown said:
“Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. is a longstanding champion of the gun violence prevention movement and has worked tirelessly to protect our children and communities. From supporting the establishment of the Brady Background Check system in his earliest days in Congress, to supporting the expansion of universal background checks with H.R. 8, Rep. Pallone understands the importance of comprehensive gun safety reform. Rep. Pallone knows that strong gun laws save lives, and represents a constituency that has benefited from strong state action. He also knows that without strong federal laws it's hard to keep our communities fully safe -- in New Jersey, 87 percent of guns used in crimes come from out of state. Brady is proud to endorse Rep. Frank Pallone for re-election.”
Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. shared:
“I once again appreciate being endorsed by the Brady Campaign. I look forward to continuing our work together to keep our communities safe from gun violence and ensuring that the next generation of Americans and New Jersey residents are not plagued by the epidemic facing us today. We can, and will, enact these sensible solutions to reduce gun violence.”
Rep. Pallone continues to keep gun-violence prevention on the Congressional agenda. Brady is grateful for his leadership and looks forward to continuing our work with him to take action, not sides. We are proud to endorse Rep.Frank Pallone, Jr. for re-election.
Brady has one powerful mission — to unite all Americans against gun violence. We work across Congress, the courts, and our communities with over 90 grassroots chapters, bringing together young and old, red and blue, and every shade of color to find common ground in common sense. In the spirit of our namesakes Jim and Sarah Brady, we have fought for over 45 years to take action, not sides, and we will not stop until this epidemic ends. It’s in our hands.
