Brady Campaign Endorses U.S. House Judiciary Committee Members for Re-Election

Washington D.C., August 5, 2020 - Today, the Brady Campaign endorsed the following candidates in their campaigns for re-election to the United States House of Representatives:

  • Greg Stanton (AZ-09)
  • Zoe Lofgren (CA-19)
  • Lou Correa (CA-46)
  • Henry C. “Hank” Johnson (GA-04)
  • Cedric Richmond (LA-02)
  • Steve Cohen (TN-09)
  • Sylvia Garcia (TX-29)
  • Pramila Jayapal (WA-07)

Each of these members has worked tirelessly to advance common-sense gun violence prevention legislation through the House Judiciary Committee. Brady is confident that these Representatives will continue to fight for the essential measures that protect our democracy from abuses of power.

These members ensure that the safety of all Americans is placed above partisanship, bringing forward common-sense gun safety policies that will save laws. From expanding and strengthening the Brady Background Check System and keeping guns out of the hands of people who commit violent hate crimes, to legislation to end the sale of high-capacity magazines, the House Judiciary Committee has advanced bills that will make our nation safer. Their work is essential. We need each of these eight representatives continuing that effort in the 117th Congress.”
