Brady Congratulates Jason Crow on Victory in CO-06

Washington, D.C., November 6, 2018 - This evening, Jason Crow was elected to Congress in Colorado’s 6th Congressional District, defeating NRA favorite Rep. Mike Coffman. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, which had made CO-06 one of the organization’s nine priority districts in the 2018 midterms, congratulated Crow on his hard-fought victory.

Kaylee Tyner, executive council member of Brady’s Team ENOUGH and student at Columbine High School, stated,

“For too long, Colorado has been represented by people more interested in the NRA’s support than in fighting the epidemic of gun violence that has touched our community firsthand. Today, that finally comes to an end. We know that Jason will be a strong champion for gun safety in Washington, and that he will be a role model for our entire state. Congratulations, Congressman-elect Crow!”

###

Brady has one powerful mission — to unite all Americans against gun violence. We work across Congress, the courts, and our communities with over 90 grassroots chapters, bringing together young and old, red and blue, and every shade of color to find common ground in common sense. In the spirit of our namesakes Jim and Sarah Brady, we have fought for over 45 years to take action, not sides, and we will not stop until this epidemic ends. It’s in our hands.
