Brady Endorses Fourteen Gun Violence Prevention Champions for Elected Office Across Colorado

Washington, D.C., June 16, 2020 - Today, the Brady Campaign endorsed fourteen gun violence prevention champions for public office in Colorado.

Brady President Kris Brown shared:

“Last year, Colorado’s legislature took decisive action when it passed the Centennial State’s Extreme Risk law. This policy ensures that law enforcement and loved ones have a legal pathway to ensure that individuals who are a proven risk to themselves or others are temporarily prohibited from possessing firearms. Coloradans have the opportunity to build on that progress and keep Colorado families and communities safe. This change can’t happen in a silo. It requires that leaders be willing to stand up and speak out in support of lifesaving evidence-based gun violence prevention policies. Brady is proud to stand with these candidates who have all demonstrated that they will act to keep Colorado safe from gun violence. We need their leadership in order to protect future generations from the scourge of gun violence and Brady looks forward to working with them to make Colorado a safer place for all to live.”

  • David Ortiz, HD-38
  • Mary Parker, HD-22
  • Karen McCormick, HD-11
