The Gun Lobby's Freshman Five

Take Action to Unseat Five of the Gun Lobby’s Top Allies in Congress.

The “Freshman Five” are freshman members of the U.S. House of Representatives who have pledged allegiance to the gun lobby and are running for re-election in competitive districts. If we unseat these incumbents and elect candidates who support common-sense gun safety measures we can have a gun violence prevention majority in the House!

As freshman, these incumbents are in a vulnerable position and we must stop them now before they solidify their place in Congress with a second term. Even if we are to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to the White House, they will need a gun safety majority in Congress to execute on the evidence-based gun violence prevention policies we know they support. The outcome of these elections could shape the future of gun violence prevention legislation across the country.

The balance of power in Congress is at stake and this effort is more important now than ever.
